What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It unlocks the deep state of relaxation needed to experience this self- healing. Ki is the non- physical energy that animates all living things and flows freely when we are in a positive state of health and wellness. When our Ki is blocked it can cause mental, emotional, spiritual and even physical ailments. Reiki taps into the subtle layers of the body to balance the chakras and release these blocks in the mental, physical and spiritual body.

It is important to note that Reiki should never take the place of medical treatments. However, people living with certain health conditions may be interested in trying Reiki alongside their regular treatment. The gentle nature of Reiki therapy has a soothing effect on people who find that they become overwhelmed with invasive therapy, fear, and stress.

A Reiki session lasts for one hour.

The person receiving the healing, relaxes, fully clothed, on a plinth with plenty of pillows and blankets for your comfort. The setting in which you receive your healing is normally quiet with the addition of some soft music.
